Donating your time
Each year, a group of association volunteers organizes and produces the Independence Day events in Northbrook.
Here are some of the areas in which volunteers can participate.
Publicity - create public awareness of the celebration
Breakfast - help organize the pancake breakfast and setup, cooking, serving and cleaning up
Parade - help organize and stage
Musical Units - contact and negotiate with marching bands and speciality units to participate in the parade
Fund Raising - contact businesses and civic organizations to ask for their support
Awards - select 3 judges for parade, accompany them on the reviewing stand and get their decision on
the winners in each category

The Northbrook 4th of July Association meets at the Northbrook Fire Station, 740 Dundee Road on the third Wednesday of the month from January through May at 7:30 p.m. In June, the meetings are held on the second and the last Wednesday of the month.
